Emiratisation in UAE is a government initiative. The program represents local talents across industries, aiming to increase the participation of Emiratis in the private sector.
What is the Emiratisation rule in the UAE?
According to the Emiratisation rule, a company with 50 skilled workers should have at least 1 Emirati employee. If the workers fall between 51-100, a minimum of 2 Emirati employees is mandated. Additionally, if the business has 101-150 skilled employees. Then, they must hire a minimum of 3 Emiratis.
What is the penalty for Emiratisation?
By MOHRE labor law, emiratisation fines of AED 100,000 will be imposed. This is the first violation of emiratisation percentage in private sector. If the violation occurs for 2 years straight, it will cause an increase in penalty. The penalty will be AED 300,000. For the third violation, the penalty will be AED 500,000.
